I just finished "Chasing the Rainbow" by Tish Owen. What a great book! It was written for those crazy enough to want to organize festivals but I think it should be on the reading list of everyone that wants to attend a festival too. It is well-written in a converstional tone with a lot of really funny comments. Best of all, it offers great insight into what the festival coordinators and staff members go through to put on an event. As a former festival coordinator and someone that attends A LOT of festivals each year, I really appreciate Tish's wisdom in every area, particularly the advice for pagan parents. I've been to some fantastic festivals, some ok festivals, and some that I wish I could wipe from my memory. This book should be required reading for everyone involved in putting on an event!
Gwinevere Rain's wonderful Copper Moon e-zine has moved to an interactive blog site where readers can comment on individual articles, subscribe through e-mail or in a RSS reader! Gwinevere says that, while they used to be a quarterly publication, now they will update *much* more frequently, with a goal of at least one new article or book review up each week!
Below, I have included her new description of this fantastic resource for young Pagans. Please check them out and submit something for publication if you're between 13-26!

Last week, one of my publishers emailed me asking for some info for something called "Contemporary Authors". Turns out that this is a major reference for librarians and researchers, published since 1962. I received a letter from them a couple of days ago saying that members of their staff requested that I be included. Pretty cool, huh?
We all have them, we just don't like to admit it most of the time. And we all have the power to get rid of bad habits, destructive patterns, and behavior that does not serve our highest good. There are many ways to eliminate them but sometimes, it's best to start simply. With that in mind, I thought you might enjoy this. It is quite simple and yet it works for me, even if only to get things moving.
Cook with an onion today to release bad habits. Before beginning, breathe the energy of Earth and Sky into the knife. As you cut the onion, say to yourself, "Here I see into my core and accept myself for all that I am, and I release that which no longer serves me". If there are specific habits you want to eliminate, visualize them as you cut the onion.
Energize the pan as you did the knife. As you cook the onion say, "Heat of fire, heat of life, transform these habits before my sight". Visualize your bad habits transforming and see the patterns you prefer filling the onion and other food. Give thanks for the blessings of change and release as you eat.
